Christy Copeland, LPC Christy Copeland attended and graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate Degree. After graduating from Tyler Junior College, Christy transferred to the University of Houston-Victoria and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
She went on to receive a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Christy is licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor to practice Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She is currently providing counseling at her own private practice facility, Cope Land Counseling in Longview, Texas. Christy is passionate about the mental health field and has years of experience providing services to children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, and ADHD.
Christy is also a published author. She has written five inspirational books, sold worldwide, including her most recently devotional book, LEAP. Christy is a sought after speaker and has been called to speak on national platforms across the country doing conferences, trainings, and workshops.
She has served as the Keynote Speaker for two of her alma maters, Tyler Junior College Black Excellence Gala in 2023, and Troup High School’s National Honor Society Induction Ceremony in 2020. Christy was also the Keynote Speaker for the Tyler Area Alliance of Black School Educators’ 3rd Annual Yellow Rose Gala in 2023.
She was featured as the Covergirl in the “Women of Dignity Magazine.” Christy was also featured in the 2021 Winter Edition of “Pulse Magazine” after graduating from the newly established Clinical Mental Health Program at Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
She is the visionary of EmpowHER, which is a movement of women from various cultural backgrounds who gather to encourage and empower one another.
In her spare time, Christy enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new things, and spending time with her husband and family.
